General Information
The impact of chemistry on the daily life of citizens is extraordinary. For decades, chemical processes have been carried out without considering their impact on the Environment and Health. According to the American Chemical Society's code of conduct: "Chemical professionals should strive to do their work in ways that are safe and sustainable for the environment. This includes continuing to work to develop sustainable products and processes that protect the health, safety, and prosperity of future generations”.

To assume this responsibility, the inter-university PhD in Sustainable Chemistry has been implemented, which involves training students in the design of chemical products and processes that reduce or eliminate the use and generation of hazardous substances (in accordance with the principles of sustainable chemistry).

The PhD program in Sustainable Chemistry is an inter-university program, coordinated by the Universitat Jaume I.
