ESN UCLM

What is ESN?

Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is one of the largest student associations in Europe. Born on October 16, 1989 and registered since 1990, it is in charge of the development and collaboration with international students.

It is present in more than 1000 higher education institutions from 42 countries. The Network is constantly developing and expanding with more than 15,000 active members taking care of international students along their mobility programs. ESN involves around 40,000 young people offering services to more than 300,000 international students each year.

 What does ESN do?

ESN works for the creation of a more mobile and flexible education environment; therefore, it supports and develops its work at different levels, local, national and international, providing  an intercultural experience to all students who do not have access to a mobility period abroad (internationalization at home).

The objectives of the Erasmus Student Network are:

  • To work for the interests of international students
  • To work for the improvement of the social and cultural integration of the international student
  • To represent the needs and rights of international students at all levels
  • To provide relevant information about mobility programs
  • To motivate students to study abroad
  • To work with students returning to their home city after mobility
  • Contribute to improving accessibility for all students
  • Caring for and cultivating values in volunteering and active citizenship

Working for volunteering and non-profit associations, our network works under the motto "Students helping students" thus nurturing the values of proactive young Europeans with international concerns.
