Transfer of academic records

1. Preliminary considerations

The transfer of academic records to continue or initiate studies at UCLM consists of two different procedures:

1. Admission application to pursue studies at UCLM when the student has previously started other university studies. Two different procedures can be used to apply for admission:

2. Processing the Transfer of Academic Records: Admitted students inform their original university about their admission to another program and request the transfer of their academic records to UCLM. This process involves several steps:

    • Obtaining the admission letter from the Academic Management Unit of the destination campus (if pre-registration for the first year has been completed, the admission letter can be downloaded from the internet when the list of admitted students is published).
    • Submitting the admission letter to the original university.
    • Payment of the corresponding fees for processing the Transfer of Academic Records at the original university.
    • Submitting the receipt for payment of the corresponding fees for processing the Transfer of Academic Records to the Academic Management Unit of the destination campus.

Note: Students who have taken the University Entrance Exam (EvAU/Selectividad) at another university and have not previously started university studies must also process the Transfer of Academic Records for the EvAU, as indicated in section 2), once they are admitted to pursue studies at UCLM. The following are the possible circumstances in which a Transfer of Academic Records to any program

*When both programs at origin and destination belong to UCLM, all the procedures for the Transfer of Academic Records can be carried out at the Academic Management Unit (UGAC) of the destination campus, where the enrollment will also be formalized.

 

2. Request for transfer to continue studies

It is recommended to consult the Admission Regulations for Official Undergraduate Studies at the University of Castilla-La Mancha, approved by the Governing Council on May 3, 2018 (DOCM 16-05-2018).

 In these regulations, you can find the admission procedure and criteria for allocation of places.

Note: Students who wish to transfer their academic records to the Bachelor's Degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences must first take the specific entrance exams.

The documentation that students must submit with the application is as follows:

• Copy of ID card or passport.

• Copy of the PAEG/EvAU (University Entrance Exam) card or Vocational Training certificate.

• Academic certification from the university where the student has started their studies, which should include the completed subjects indicating: name, nature, number of credits, grades, and the average grade.

• Date of publication in the BOE (Official State Gazette) of the curriculum being pursued.

• Programs of the subjects for which recognition is being requested.

Academic certifications from foreign universities must be duly legalized (and translated if necessary), along with the programs of the subjects and the curriculum, which must be attached to the applications.

UCLM students do not need to attach any of the documents mentioned, except for the programs of the subjects they wish to recognize, if they have been studied at a different university.

3. Enrollment with trasnfer of academic records to continue the same or different studies at UCLM

Students who have been admitted to UCLM through a Transfer Application to continue their studies should contact the Academic Management Unit (UGAC) of the campus where the admitting Center is located to request an enrollment appointment and to manage the transfer of their academic records and adaptation to the curriculum.

• Students from other UCLM programs:

When the student comes from another program within UCLM, the UGAC of the destination campus will issue the payment letter for the transfer of academic records.

Students who wish to request recognition of subjects must provide the programs of the subjects they wish to recognize if they have not already done so with the admission application, but only if they have been studied at a different university center.

• Students from another university:

When the student comes from another university, they must provide the receipt of payment for the public fees paid at their respective university of origin for the transfer of academic records when enrolling at the UGAC.

Students from other universities who wish to request recognition of subjects must submit a personal academic certificate indicating the grades and credits, as well as the programs of the subjects they wish to recognize if they have not already done so with the admission application.
