In Early Childhood there is only one group (a group of 12) in the morning timetable while in Primary there are three groups : Group A & Group B in English, both in the morning shift, and Group C, in the evening shift.

On your enrolment sheet you will find in the corresponding column the number of the group in which you have enrolled . It is important that you enroll in all the subjects in the same class group to avoid overlaps.  Before you enroll, you should take a close look at the timetable to find out which is the most suitable for you.  If you have to enrol in various subjects from different courses you will have to be very careful when choosing to make sure that the timetables do not overlap each other.

The enrolment order is established by the file grades, hence, the highest scores are the first to be enrolled. It is important you do not put off the date you are assigned, think, the later you leave it, the higher the possibilities that the groups will be filled up.

 You will be able apply in the secretary´s office in the following channels:

Completing a speciality is of a votuntary nature although it is recommended.  What is obligatory is to study 24 optional  plus 6 practical teaching training  (optional subjects whose credits count as practice), 

Which satisfy the designated necessary teaching hours from the study plan..: 1. Teaching practice subject 3rd – 1 optional subject from 3rd   3 optional subjects from 4th.  Failure to  comply with these requirements will hinder the completion of studies.  For those students who do not want a speciality they will be able to choose between the optional subjects available on offer, which they find most suitable. For those student who wish to have their speciality certified, they must study the associated subjects from the aforementioned  speciality.

Instructions from Teaching  Vice -Rector  (20th July de 2018), In regards obtainment of Speciality in the official degrees for practicing of regulated teaching profesionals in Early Childhood Education and Primary Education respectively, issued by the  General Secretary of the University of Ministry of Education Culture and Sport , dated 19th January 2018.

First : Students who have completed their undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education  teaching or Primary school Education teaching, in any Spanish university, will  able to make a request to study at the University of Castilla- La Mancha any of the specialities offered on the same course that they have studied. 

Second: Students interested in making a request in the faculty of interest, following the instructions which will be available on the Education Faculties website. If you are interested in more than one faculties or specialities it is possible to send various applications. The period for application submission will be from the 3rd to the 14th September. 

In the Education Faculty of Albacete,   in writing, addressed to the Dean, according to the official model available at http://educacion.ab.uclm.es/faqs.php (" How can I submit an application? ")

Third : Following the official enrolment period in UCLM the faculties will be published on the 12th September, the places available in each speciality, if there are any available.  Only in regards to the speciality places which offer all the subjects  which leads to obtaining  the same speciality. The Education Faculty will take into account that the places offered should guarantee compatibility of teaching timetable of the subjects which compose  the degree,  considering it does not take other addition resources into consideration. 

Fourth : The order of preference for the allocation of places in the Speciality will be the following:

Fifth : In the case that a student is accepted unto more than one Speciality, he/she should choose to enrol on the course that is most suitable a his/her interests. You are not authourised to change speciality or faculty during the academic year.

Sixth : It is obligatory for all admitted students to enroll  in all subjects necessary to obtain the Speciality in the academic year in which they have been accepted. The offer of places in the speciality subjects will be valid exclusively for the academic year of admission.  In case a subject is not passed, the student will have to request authorization from the Dean to enroll on the pending subjects for the second time.  

Seventh : Students should study and pass the subjects they are enrolled in. Recognition for other similar subjects studies in other Speciality or Studies will not be counted, except in the case of students from the UCLM, providing they have studied the subjects with the same code and name, o if they have passed the optional subject form the table of regognised subjects, agreed on by the Education Faculties, and authorised  by the Teaching Vice-rector.

Eigth: In accordance with what is established by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport an academic certificate will be issued by the UCLM accrediting the Speciality. The assessment  for professional purposes deriving from the certification of this speciality will correspond to the body responsible for the selection process and  pertinent reviews.

The verification report for the undergraduate degree in Primary School Education Teaching ((article 7 bis 1 y annex al point 4.4.)) establishes that professional teaching experience or suitable work experience will be acknowledged as credits, as long as mentioned experience is related to the competencies linked to the degree. The following criterion will be taken into account to recognise credits for work or professional experience in the Primary school education Teaching degree:

·        Award will be given exclusively to teaching practice placement  in the subjects Practicum I or Practicum II.

·        Practicum I Will be awarded if at least 18 weeks  of professional experience is being accredited as a full-time teacher in whichever education stage (Early Childhood, Primary or GCSE/ESO), or 36 weeks part-time.

·        In order to be awarded Practicum II 24 weeks  of teaching experience  should be accredited as a full-time teacher in whichever education stage (Early Childhood, Primary or GCSE/ESO), or 48 weeks part-time.

Given that the rules established a maximum recognition of 36 credits for professional experience and does not acknowledge subjects partially, Practicum I  or  Practicum II might be recognised  if they meet the requirements specified above but not both.

Only the teaching experience carried out in Spanish state schools, partially subsidised and private schools, within regulated education in the role of a teacher shall be considered.

·        Student requesting credit recognition for teaching experience should provide:

·        Application for official credit recognition which the university provides .

·         A work experience certificate issued by Social Security.

·        A company / companies certificate where you have worked in an activity likely to be validated by the Director of human resources or by a person who holds a position of similar responsibility certifying the activities carried out by the worker. For self-employed workers, it will not be necessary to produce such document, although, the Committee of Recognition and Credit Transfer of the faculty might require additional documents deemed necessary.

·        A report done by the student which contains the tasks undertaken during the placement where, in their opinion, have allowed him/her to acquire the competences which are inherent to the degree in which he/she wishes to obtain academic recognition. 

The Faculty´s Committee of Recognition and Credit Transfer of the faculty, after examining the document, submitted by the student, might decide to carry out a personal interview to clarify certain aspects.

No, the certification of a language at  B1 level is not recognised in any language subject. In the event that you have attained B2 you will be awarded 1 credit  as long as the given level is from a different language being studied in the degree.

I completed a superior program in Vocational Training. May I request that any of the subjects stand as substitutes for subjects within the degree of Education?

From vocational training in Early Childhood education to teaching degree in Childhood education the validation is recognised from the acquisition of the subject & the development of language (degree) through expression and communication (vocational training/professional training*) the aforementioned validation must be requested in the *(UGAC) Campus office of Academic Management
