The verification report for the undergraduate degree in Primary School Education Teaching ((article 7 bis 1 y annex al point 4.4.)) establishes that professional teaching experience or suitable work experience will be acknowledged as credits, as long as mentioned experience is related to the competencies linked to the degree. The following criterion will be taken into account to recognise credits for work or professional experience in the Primary school education Teaching degree:
· Award will be given exclusively to teaching practice placement in the subjects Practicum I or Practicum II.
· Practicum I Will be awarded if at least 18 weeks of professional experience is being accredited as a full-time teacher in whichever education stage (Early Childhood, Primary or GCSE/ESO), or 36 weeks part-time.
· In order to be awarded Practicum II 24 weeks of teaching experience should be accredited as a full-time teacher in whichever education stage (Early Childhood, Primary or GCSE/ESO), or 48 weeks part-time.
Given that the rules established a maximum recognition of 36 credits for professional experience and does not acknowledge subjects partially, Practicum I or Practicum II might be recognised if they meet the requirements specified above but not both.
Only the teaching experience carried out in Spanish state schools, partially subsidised and private schools, within regulated education in the role of a teacher shall be considered.
· Student requesting credit recognition for teaching experience should provide:
· Application for official credit recognition which the university provides .
· A work experience certificate issued by Social Security.
· A company / companies certificate where you have worked in an activity likely to be validated by the Director of human resources or by a person who holds a position of similar responsibility certifying the activities carried out by the worker. For self-employed workers, it will not be necessary to produce such document, although, the Committee of Recognition and Credit Transfer of the faculty might require additional documents deemed necessary.
· A report done by the student which contains the tasks undertaken during the placement where, in their opinion, have allowed him/her to acquire the competences which are inherent to the degree in which he/she wishes to obtain academic recognition.
The Faculty´s Committee of Recognition and Credit Transfer of the faculty, after examining the document, submitted by the student, might decide to carry out a personal interview to clarify certain aspects.
